Blood Donation Awareness Week in Methodist Mission High School

After a long break and many changes being made to the program to make it more interesting and interactive for the students, we started our next phase of school visits for spreading the awareness about blood donation.

The principal was very responsive and gave the permission to conduct the program with full support and encouragement.

Skit and informative talk: 3rd February, 2009
After having a good practice and making the necessary changes to the program, the volunteers were very enthusiastic about the program. The energy flow was very visible and the students received the whole program with a positive response. The interaction of the students showed there was an improvement brought about by us in the program.
Competitions

Competitions: 7th February, 2009
Even with the low number of students turning out to the competitions, the enthusiasm and competitive spirit was very much visible. The students approached the volunteers before the competition could start and cleared their queries.

Collage: About 8 students submitted the collage. They had made every effort to search out newspapers, textbooks and other sources to make their work look attractive and eye catching. There were few students who had even written captions on their collage work to make them more interesting.

Essay Writing: Number of participants : 19.
The participants gathered at the open area of the school. After the announcement of the topics, the students were ready to start brainstorming and give their best participation. There were students who wrote their essays in Kannada.

Painting:
Number of participants: 27
After the essay competition was completed, the painting competition was held. The school management helped the students with the colors and the students used to the best use. There were different blood heroes being depicted, with their imagination being used to give the best presentations.

Prize Distribution: 11th February, 2009

The prize distribution was conducted at the school morning assembly. The students were very enthusiastic about knowing the prize winners and the whole school applauded the prize winners.
