India got freedom in the year 1947. The triumvirates- Gandhiji, Nehru and Sardar Patel, were responsible for giving direction to the destiny of the country. We have so much heard about Gandhiji and Nehru, but only fractions of the population of India really know something about Sardar Patel. He was the one who united the country in a unique manner.
