Rakta Kranti (Blood Revolution) is a project of Sankalp that aims at bringing about 100% Voluntary Blood Donation in Bangalore by taking the message of blood donation to the educational institutions and the industry. By organising state of the art blood donation drives, where great emphasis is given to education and motivating donors, we are slowly increasing the confidence of the people in the blood donation services.

Disha, the toll free centralised blood helpline number is 1062. It interconnects the safest blood banks in the city and provides a single number of contact for these blood banks. This helpline has been providing easy access to blood since 2006. Bringing together of the good and safe blood banks ensures optimal utilisation of blood and also prevents the exploitation of the needy.

Emergency wing comes into action when all the possibilities of locating blood has failed, thus forming the last ray of Hope. Since May 23rd, 2003, this team has been taking blood requests throughout the state and beyond. The team works 24*7*365 and has till date never turned down a blood request.
