Rakta Kranti companies: facing the heat of summer and bringing in coolness of monsoons

At a time when there was shortage of blood in city Sankalp organized 5 blood donation drives in month of April at Alcatel-Lucent,Crosstab,Capgemini,SSS India and Logica with about 700 donations being made in total.

Logica and Crosstab organized a drive with Sankalp for the first time where as it was the third blood drive at Alcatel-Lucent,Capgemini and SSS India .During the five blood drives,the awareness programme was taken to more than 5000 employees. Slowly but surely the message and education is spreading and the quest for 100% voluntary donations is gaining an edge as every drive is successfully organised.

Interestingly, an important trend observed in these drives was the complaints received by donors : that they never got an opportunity to donate regularly as camps happen in companies not on a very frequent basis.Thus companies should come forward to organize regular blood donation drives which will provide opportunity to employees to donate as well us reduce the blood shortage in city.
