This is for those who spend sleepless times wondering why things dont change for our Nation.

I met
someone today. The person is someone who is in a very competent
position. Someone who I believe has the right position, level of
influence and ability to be able to play a decisive role in several
things relating to blood donation and the problems surrounding the
same. The discussion with the person was cordial and warm. The person
is genuine and service minded. However I found some strange resistance
which led to this blog!
It is interesting why some problems don't get resolved. The main contributing factors as per my little understanding are:

• Corruption and Unwillingness to work:
  The interest of people in not solving the problem. This may be because
  of the additional effort which they may not be willing to invest or
  simply - gross corruption.
• Lack of Acknowledgement of Problem: Many time people are unwilling to...

A casual dictionary look-up can sometimes lead to a blog post. Here it is sympathy vs empathy. Here is a distinct culture that we try to nurture in our organization, a place where individuals work with people suffering from pain and facing problem sin life. This has been there always, right from the beginning of the organization. Today I got two beautiful words to explicitly explain an essential part of the behavioral skill we want our volunteers to be synonymous with.

Very recently a few issues have raged major debates in my mind. I was growing more and more indecisive and that's when I sat down to explore the deeper intricacies of my behaviour. The findings were insightful and interesting and here I share the same with you.

Roughly around 7 years back, at this time of the day - Sankalp India Foundation came into existence.

Happy New Year Rajat! I told myself.. A moment later - New year? What's that? I know we are going to change the last two digits of the date after a long time. But what more? 2010 Goals? Resolutions? Umm - nothing :) Or I can be a little better to myself by saying - nothing on this day :)

It is 5 years since the giant sea waves hit the Indian coasts. A few minutes back I realized that it is also five years since the time a few engineering students gathered in front of the hostel mess at this hour of night. It was just around this time that on a cold winter night they decided that they will not wait with folded hands to see what will be announced next.

An old story speaks about a similar problem. A devoted meditator, after years concentrating on a particular mantra, had attained enough insight to begin teaching. The student's humility was far from perfect, but the teachers at the monastery were not worried.
