How about networking with local bangalore colleges like Seshadripuram College (Swastik), KLE College (Rajajinagar), MES College (Malleswaram), Christ College (Near Forum), Jain College, National College (near Basavangudi), Vijaya College ( Basavangudi, Jayanangar area), Mount Carmel College and maybe even some other engineering/medical/graduate colleges in other parts of Bangalore.

If the management/principal/individual-in-power of these institutions agree there could be an announcement made in case of emergency and the number of students who are aplenty here would be more than eager to get out class for a good purpose :)

This model worked out successfully for one of the operations which required fresh blood ( < 24 hours ), in which an announcement was made at Seshadripuram College and flocks of students were ready to donate blood.

Not sure if such a thing already exists or if the similar idea is already discussed.
