There will be a week called “Blood Awareness Week”, where the students will be made aware of the Blood scenario. Then, at the end of the week, the camp will be organized. On the same day, the Volunteers will perform a skit with a strong message about 100% voluntary blood donation.

(b)Companies: A camp will be organized in Capgemini on 5th March. This will again, be a well-organized camp with the Donor safety and spreading awareness among the employees.

BDO:
There have been more cases to solve, providing a good exposure to all the freshers. Highlight of this week, was the low stock of A+ and O+ blood groups in a blood bank. There were donations made to considerably rise the stocks. The volunteers were chosen randomly without the help of the database. The IISc donations were improvised upon. The volunteers are finding better ways to keep themselves updated to the minute.

CTC Disha:
This week, the volunteers visited Government hospitals on Saturday (23/2/08) to spread awareness about the blood help-line 080-1062. Around 8 out of 12 listed hospitals were visited. The remaining hospitals will be visited on next Saturday. The response has been quite good and there are plans for visiting more hospitals and including media and BMTC to help us out in the task.
