A Nice Story About Love By Swami Vivekananda

I once had a friend who grew to be very close to me. Once when we were sitting at the edge of a swimming pool, she filled the palm of her hand with some water and held it before me, and said this: "You see this water carefully contained on my hand? It symbolizes Love." This was how I saw it: As long as you keep your hand caringly open and allow it to remain there, it will always be there. However, if you attempt to close your fingers round it and try to posses it, it will spill through the first cracks it finds. This is the greatest mistake that people do when they meet love...they try to posses it, they demand, they expect... and just like the water spilling out of your hand, love will retrieve from you . For love is meant to be free, you cannot change its nature. If there are people you love, allow them to be free beings. Give and don't expect. Advise, but don't order. Ask, but never demand. It might sound simple, but it is a lesson that may take a lifetime to truly practice. It is the secret to true love. To truly practice it, you must sincerely feel no expectations from those who you love, and yet an unconditional caring." Friends give it a thought !! Actually, what is life if one has no expectations?? I feel it is right to expect from the right person, for the right things, at the right time and in the right way!!! Anybody has any views or suggestions to share ...... Nothing is important then the happiness of the person u loved...juz make them happy n dun make them shed tears bcoz u.... Passing thought...... Life is not measured by the number of breaths we take; but by the moments that take our breath away.

... you meet that one super special person, a rare find, your soulmate then you will understand the love and it's type as explained by Vivekananda. God matches and pairs us according to our spiritual level. If one begins to live in God, becomes selfless, then that person will ultimately behave like God. God never stops caring about his love, that is His children. He is a doting parent as such and even if we don't reciprocate that love, He loves us anyways. He never cuts off our air supply or anything because we don't return His love. His is an unconditional love. So too should be ours if we are in love with another. We should love the person unconditionally. Our devotion for the person should be so much so that we want to give them our all. Nothing else matters. If ever you meet your soulmate, only then will you truly comprehend this point. Love makes every great virtue possible, the foremost being sacrifice!!! Love is above all, SACRIFICE!!! Thus, if you were convinced of loving someone in the beginning, you should maintain that throughout the relationship even if that person never reciprocates your love later. If you stop loving the person later because they ceased to please you, it would mean that you were not really in love with the person in the first place but acted rather like a shopkeeper, a trader in love. I will love you only so long as you love me. Once you stop, I stop!!! That is not love in the least. It is selfishness, very much so!!! Most individuals fall head over heels in love but expecting a profit for their giving love to another. True love is not like that, it's not so fickle as that!!! If ever you truly give your heart to someone, you'll never take it back ever!!! Your joy comes from giving, giving, giving and not from receiving. So long as the apple of your  eye is the object of your love, you cannot think of anything else but them. In this trance or state of intoxication, "punch Love drunk" state, you really expect nothing in return!!! I believe most cannot attain to this cos they got to first feel this way about God and love God this way. Only then will that individual be paired with another who is of the same kind, their soulmate. This happens only by the grace of God as God is fair and just in His love of us. So, there is a rainbow at the end of the tunnel in all of this cos when two such individuals meet, they give their all to each other, they live as it were only for each other, giving selflessly. This is a state of bliss beyond imagination!!! None expects return for what they give but any fool can see, they are receiving the best off each other in every positive sense. I know this for a fact!!! He alone lives who lives for others. Everyone else is more dead than alive!!! God is like that, lives for others. Become like God and you too will find your soulmate. In your heart and soul God lives. Once you realise this for yourself, you end up merging in God through your soulmate cos God lives there too, in him or her. A perfect union with God is only achieved once this happens. In marrying your soulmate you become merged in God, not two but one, the power of three!!! It's the perfect marriage, you and God, your partner and God. Since God is common denominator in both, the sum of these individuals does not add up to 2 but rather 3!!! This is the ideal. In each and every other birth, we marry thinking it's our soulmate but alas this be far from the truth. It is only after countless births that we realise God. Only then will this phenomenom I describe happen. It's rare and hence the Swami Vivekananda  stating, "It might sound simple, but it is a lesson that may take a lifetime to truly practice. It is the secret to true love."
