Organizing A Blood Donation Camp

Resources
Second letter
As we have discussed that we will be conducting a blood donation camp on (date) at (time), here are some finer details that we will like to know:
What resources and material will be required from our side?
What is the provision for refreshment?
Can you provide us mails, publicity posters, banners, pamphlets etc.
Our organization pays very strict attention to Donor Safety and Care. Kindly ensure that the following details are taken care of strictly to ensure safety and well being of our donors. Please discuss with us any point that is not clear in the procedure. Waiting time • We would like one of you to talk to the donors and give them general information about the blood donation process while they wait to donate. Pre-donation • Check if donor has gone through registration form individually. • Test for Hemoglobin level. • Check for donor's Blood Pressure • Collect not more than 8ml/kg body weight of blood from the donors. During donation • Do not allow the donor to get up immediately after donation. • Ensure that someone watches over as the donor donates. After donation • Advice the donor on food, exercise, driving etc. • Make sure Certificate is issued to the donor. • Ask donor to notify if any post donation problem occurs. • Make sure proper bandage is put on donor’s bleeding area. • Advice on not taking in alcohol and not to smoking for the required duration of time.
Please specify if anything else needs to be taken care of by us.
Thank You
