We have come a long way.. And there is a very long road ahead of us. Here at this point, when there is so much of work to do for the cause, why change our priorities? Work is our priority. The cause is our motivation. There is a separate wing to take care that our events get modest media coverage when required. We as an organization really don't need any publicity. Let work speak for itself.

Walk for Life was an event exclusively dedicated to letting the people know about a cause.. in a way what can be called publicity... When you tell a person what you are doing you do it for one of the two reasons.. One is to have the person join you by force of your argument, your work and your Motive.. The other is to impress the person into associating with you.. the kind of talk which shows people the things in the limelight and encourage them to be the great experience.. Publicity is also requesting people to join in to donate blood. It is also to put up our sharp features and impress them.. Can you discuss the above two types?

Hi friends, I have seen some mixed feeling about publicizing Sankalp. I think the motive of rajat asking view on this topic was something else. As we all know publicity or some other profit is the last thing which will come in mind of any member of Sankalp. To touch something on publicity, it is not as bad as it is seen here. May be we are just looking at the other side of publicity which is often used for peoples personal profit. However, there is another brighter side of publicity too. In fact if we closely watch publicity is a very important tool to achieve your goals in a big way and whehter we like it or not it does happen. It happened for Sankalp also, The only thing is we never realized it happening because we never thaught it that way. when we used to go to room to room in the hostels.. When we used to tell people about it and asked them to donate blood.. sitting in canteen and discussing about what to do to bring people together.. Most of us would have come to know about it from some body else.. may be heard from somebody .. or saw people working for sankalp and just out of curosity asked about it .. Initially the publicity got done by visiting people and convincing them to donate blood for a noble cause. That was a mouth to ear publicity. there were no pemplates or other means used for publickty. This was OK in the begiing considering the small size and a single aim of sankalp in the begining ( only blood donation ). however with the increasing size and more greater motives we need more hands to strengthen Sankalp. Publising can be done to bring the like minded people togehter. There might be a lot of people out there who might be willing to "donate blood and perform there duty" but just needs some awereness and a kick start. Publicity might help in bringing all those like minded people and organisatinos together.. I belive, here the motive of publicity is very pure and is truly intended to bring more like minded friends to strengthen Sankalp to fulfill its 100% target. With times as we are all aware of the improved ways of communication, we should take the help of technology and man power to bring some more like minded people together to strenghten Sankalp and to get some more helping hands for those needy people out there...
