(This was written on 30th Apr but I could not post it early)
29th Aprill 2006, saturday afternoon I got call from auto driver, who took us to home of hope to admit a old lady. He gave the information that there is a girl who desperately needs help. I met him and a girl along with two volunteers. The girl(Name Reena 15 yr old) was looking very much depressed and she wanted to go back to her place ( Calcutta ). She waas working in a house since 8 months, since she had problem she left the house and decided to go back to her place. I thought she might have experienced some serious problems and she need to be councelled. We took her for lunch and one of our volunteer spoke to her to know if she had problems. After a quite long interaction between the girl, volunteer and a Bengali speaking friend of us, we got to know that she was beaten and verbally harrassed by one of the family members in the house she was working. She did not want to go back to the same house. She did not know any one here in Bangalore. She was helpless.
It was decided that she can go back to her place but she had no money. We bought her ticket, food and borded her on the train to Calcutta.
I dont know what she would have done when she had no money, no house, no relatives. Now I hope she will have better life when she reach her place.

Reena has reached home
I spoke to her on phone on 1st May, she was very happy and thanked us for helping her. She said she herself had no idea what she would have done if we had not met her.
BY a truly self driven initaiative
You did make a lot of difference to her. Hats off to the initiative. Just refine the methodologies you take up. You are an example to others for what is called initiative.
..
i must say "HATS OFF TO YOU SIR!!". I CAN ONLY IMAGINE HOW MUCH COURAGE IT TOOK FOR ALL OF YOU TO STAND UP AND HELP THE GIRL..
