What to do when people disrespect?

The only way i can see to solve this problem is to set example for them...In this world 99.5% people need example to get courage and strength to do some work which no one had done. Only way to make them to do is by keep doing... Keep Walking...Someday they will get courage to follow...

i really want to elaborate on this topic.. After the screening of the movie, Legend of Bhagat Singh, some of the volunteers found the pamphlets which was distributed earlier in the morning strewn all over the college. The pamphlet had Vande Matram on one side and to our utter surprise we found them in disgraceful condition. ppl had their footprints firmly implanted on tht page. All of us were furious when we saw that. We reached the conclusion- enough is enough. This type of treatment will not be tolerated by us. We decided to stick those "stamped" pamphlets on a chart paper and display that on the college notice board with captions like "Is this the way you treat your National Song??".... All done we then decided to just take the consent of Rajat sir. Obviously he wouldn't say NO to this, but we found it apt to just take his guidance on how to go about this.. Rajat sir was in his office at that time so he decided to come and meet us after completing his work. Fine.. He may give us some nice words.. Rajat sir came by 10 P.M. I can't exactly quote what he said but in brief this was it(i say brief because he spoke for an hour n i can't type down everything)... "What is your motive behind doing this?" Sir we didn't like wht happened today..we won't tolerate any insult towards our national song n we want to teach every1 a lesson.. "are u convinced why r u doing this?" yes sir.. "After u do this the ppl who stamp on will not change..we do all these activities so that there is a change deep within u.. it is you who needs to change first.. it is you who needs to understand the delicate intricasies of life..if tommorrow u stuck this chart paper then the ppl out there will find new ways of cursing you and blaming you..you will be bombarded by comments like"the national song shouldn't be printed on a paper".."you shouldn't have given out any paper"...n many innovative comments just to hand you the back seat and show you that u r the culprit here.. if u want u can go ahead with this project but first understand for yourself why u wanna do it"... tht 1 hour talk said it all.. he showed instances from his own life..how he used to pick up national flags from dustbin..wash them, dry them n collect them.. the answer to tht question lies here.. if some1 shows disrespect to the national symbol or flag don't tell tht person anything..just pick up whtever he threw n keep it with u.. the person will be ashamed of himself and if he doesn't..well god help him...... rahul

i believe that it is difficult to change a person.. i remember a saying "Kante ko Kante se he nikalo" Until something like this happens to his life too he wont understand the meaning giving respect to our nation... So i hope whoever threw those papers down will encounter some such situation.. [The probability is very less or them encountering such situation and understanding it:-( ]
