CTC Disha:
The volunteers visited Rainbow on Wednesday (23/04/2008). They were asked to go on air and talk about 1062 and Sankalp for about 5 minutes. Now Rainbow regularly highlights this number and its importance.
On Friday (25/04/2008), volunteers visited Radio City. They were posed a lot of questions and at the end of the discussion, they have agreed to broadcast about this number and regularly highlight it.
Apart from this, private hospital’s visit continued this week. Also, volunteers visited Majestic Bus Depot and stuck the stickers of life saving number 1062 to 14 buses. Thus, overall, 61 buses have been completed and 39 remaining.
Project Shiksha:
The contributions for the helping of Swami Vivekananda school in Tyagarajnagar is continuing this week. As on 28/04/08, the total amount collected is Rs. 4950. The initial estimation the estimated expenditure is as follow:
Computer with basic configuration 3450 per computer.
School Whitewash inside and outside around 10,000.

Rakta Kranti:(a) Colleges:
The volunteers approached JSS College and a Blood Awareness Week will be arranged around mid-May.
KSIT College was also approached and they have agreed to arrange for a Blood Awareness Week during the next semester.
(b) Companies:The camp in SSS Company was held on Friday (25/04/2008). The number of units collected were 40 and 5 were deferred. There was good interaction among the volunteers, blood bank chief, and company in charge. There was good response from the donors too.
MSRMBDS:The camp in MSRIT last week (26/04/08) was cancelled due to the festival in college.
This week, the camp will be held in Medical College.
BDO:There were 20 cases including 3 platelet apheresis requests, and 2 donations were made for O –ve.
The volunteers are now uploading the details of Karnataka wide blood into an excel sheet and will also finalise the reports prepared on the research topics, like effects after donation, effect of smoking and the eligibility of jaundice affected patients to donate, and so on.
