A Little Brown a Little Green

It was a very exciting journey from Bangalore to New Delhi on a Sahara Jet Plain. The Boeing 737 Aircraft gave me the first ever experienc of riding the wind. Soon after the plane took off, I found myself glued to the window pane keenly looking down at the Bangalore City and trying to recognize each small dot that i could see. But within minutes the look was different. There was no more detail. Only chunks of brown land and chunks of greenery. This look, laced by a thin layer of clouds.. As the plane moved on, I could see various rivers, the mountains and the planes. I had travelled to New Delhi tens of time by train. Each time keeply peeping out to see my motherland and all it's colors. This was a new experience. A more gross view. It was so very facinating. Each bit of it was filling the heart with a new emotion a new view. Gliding over a country of a billion people somehow filled me up with a mixed bag of emotions. Some of Joy, when thinking about it's majesty. Some of pain when thinking about it's problems. Each moment , looking down, at soil, at trees, at people, all of whom are my own. My countrymen. When in Kashmir facing the mountain, when on Himalaysa looking at the planes, when at seashore watching the waves and at many other times, a little philosophical me emerges. The mixed bag of emotins always has an underlying consistency. The fact that I am looking at my Nation.
