Multiple blood donation drives across Bangalore was held on December 28, 2008 by Sri Narayani Peedam in association with CTC group to commemorate the birthday of the leader of the association. The drives were held at five different locations in Bangalore and out of those five, Sankalp was involved in organising and making all arrangements for four of them. Four blood banks participated, and a total of 121 units were collected from the four places. There were instances of five post-donation reactions (like fainting) from the four places put together. One major issue in these drives was the lack of publicity. This factor will be taken into account for further drives. Read more here
After a successful end of the year blood donation drive with CTC and Sri Narayani Peedam, the new year will start with the drive being organised in AMD, Bangalore. Though the company organises drives every three months, this time the quality of the drive will be aimed at when Sankalp is involved during this drive. It will be held on January 9th, 2009.
