Sankalp India foundation in asscociation with M S Ramaiah Hospitals is organising the "Voluntary Blood Donor Week" programmed that M. S. Ramaiah Group of Institutions are Organizing on the occasion of the World Blood Donor Day 2010.

With the support and participation of the various colleges M S Ramaiah Memorial Blood Donation service has become the first of its kind program in the country where colleges from the same instructions support the blood bank in a regular and efficient manner. The contribution of the colleges and the students who donate in the blood donation camps is exemplary. In order to recognize the contributions made and also further strengthen the cause we plan to organize the Voluntary Blood Donor Week (14 June - 19 June 2010). The 5 day programme will also include celebrating the spirit of blood donation with beautiful posters, publicity materials and a gallery at the MSR campus, specially in the MSR hospital blood bank.

Objectives

• To recognize and acknowledge the contribution of the organizations and individuals who actively contribute to the cause of blood donation.
• To encourage and motivate and recruit more voluntary blood donors
• To organize a blood group and hemoglobin testing programmed for the benefit of the students and the staff of MSR Group of Institutions.

The Program

Blood Grouping and Hemoglobin Testing Camp

We offer to organize a free blood grouping and hemoglobin testing camp for all the willing students of your college in the Voluntary Blood Donor Week. Not only will this give an opportunity to your students to know their blood group, it will also help the students suffering from anemia detect the problem and take corrective steps. Technicians from the blood bank along with Sankalp volunteers will come to the college where the students can come over and get their blood tested. For students with below normal hemoglobin count, appropriate advice will be given. The college has the option to book one or more time slots in the entire week based on the number of students.

Voluntary Blood Donor Recognition Program

We plan to recognize the Colleges which have extended their support to the MSR Memorial Blood Donation Services. A small function is being organized on 17th June 2010 at M S Ramaiah Memorial Hospital from 2:00 PM to 3:30 PM. We request your kind presence on the occasion.
