Diwali is approaching and we at Sankalp have all the more reasons to celebrate the festival. A number of activities are happening, and to list them down, we have Donors' registration at MSRIT and IISc, three blood donation drives in two weeks and follow-up from the Blood Bank Meet, that is CTC Disha Awareness Campaign, phase 2.
Donor Registrations:
During college hours, Volunteers are seen going from class to class and providing an opportunity to be a hero in someone's life, by registering as a Emergency donor. In the evening, IISc registrations happen. The response has been good from both the places.
Rakta Kranti companies:
The three drives were held at Wiquest Semiconductors (read about it here ), at Keane (here) and a drive with Abhivrudh group (here).
CTC Disha:
With an Awareness Campaign regarding (080) 1062 taken up around Febraury-March, the number of calls went up from an average of 3-4 to 10 calls per day. Now, to further improve the visibility of the blood helpline, the blood requisition forms of the blood banks (associated with CTC Disha) are being stamped with "Looking for Blood, Call (080) 1062" stamps.
