Our vision is to have 100% Voluntary blood donation

In next one year we want to have blood banks never say no to patients

Project Bharti plans to optimize donations by donors to ensure a continuous and optimized supply of blood

Since we know the blood availability, so we seek to achieve a condition in which the blood bank never runs out of blood.

We are bringing in latest technology and research from around the globe to the blood banking.

We cannot see mismanagement and in-action in the society and choose to stay out of it.

We have NO source of funding other than the contribution by the volunteers. (4 started working this year and others are still studying)

We believe in the innate goodness inside each Indian. We believe that if we work hard enough, we will be able to awaken the youth for the larger cause.

Other than blood We have done a considerable amount of service at the time of Tsunami and the Kashmir Earthquake. We have our Disaster Mitigation and Management Group. Project Tiranga is our initiative to awaken the youth and bring in a true social revolution. Q2. In case of emergency how easy is it to get blood?

Information Sharing

Sankalp has put up a helpline for blood at 1062. If you call 1062, you can find out where blood in available in minutes. By this, if any blood bank has the required stock, the patient is directed immediately.

If blood banks are out of blood then the call is forwarded to the Sankalp Emergency Contact Number: 9880132850

Our volunteers are experts at searching for blood with more than 2 years of experience in blood search

Depending on the requirement/urgency a suitable solution is chosen and acted upon.

In emergencies, we call one of donors to donate blood.

The entire process of blood donation is monitored in person by one of our volunteers who also ensure that the donor is at maximum convenience and safety.

We have never refused a case

Our helpline is active 24X365

We arrange for blood in most extreme situations too. (Holidays, Rare Groups, Time Shortage etc)

Q3. What are the preconditions to get blood?

Emergency helpline

Sankalp does not provide blood to people who can arrange for blood themselves, but who choose not to do it for sake of their own comfort.

We decide on the donation by looking at the urgency and need.

Q4. Is there any fee above and beyond the standard testing fee?

We work for ourself

All services offered by Sankalp are absolutely free of cost.

We have only voluntary non-remunerative donors

The only instance in past 42 months of work and more than 2000 cases of blood in which the donor gave a Sankalp anything of material value is when the donor purchased a glass of juice.

What the blood banks charge the patient is their mutual affair and we stay out of it.

Q5. What support is given to people who can't even afford to pay the standard fees?

Our knowledge of the system and reputation

We direct the patient to the cheapest blood bank.

The blood banks have trust on our working. So if we recommend the testing charges to be reduced, the blood banks do the needful.
