Lack of Enthusiasm

Submitted by rajat on
While I was trying to explore the most motivating and the most de-motivating factors for a person's blood donation, I came across lot of things. But one of the most prominent of them all was Lack of enthusiasm of the blood bank staff Being a regular sort of a blood donor, what I have realized is that till date there have been only very few instances when I have seen the blood bank staff really motivating me to donate blood. More or less what can be seen on the face of the person who is drawing blood, is a blank expression. He/she looks to be doing their routine job and that is all. there is no warm smile to greet you. There are no kind words just to boost your morale. No one says a thank you. This in itself is a highly de-motivating experience. Sankalp has so far been able to do a good job with the donors principally because the donor can see the enthusiasm in the eyes of the volunteer. They can see the glow, which comes, when we are sure a person will be receiving blood on time. Systematic setups apart, it is critical to offer such things to our donors. Attention all the donors. I want to take this thing ahead aggressively. Please post comments on this article either agreeing or disagreeing. Also please mention the things that matter to you. Thanks !

Ya as a human being/donor i agree to the fact that a smile can make a lots of difference and it makes too. Just a smile from staff(or any person either in work place, collage etc) make a lots of difference in your enthusiasm.

I don't think we can do much in this regard as this is to do with personal choice ...it depend upon person attitude how it take the thing...We can only once talk to blood bank staff but you cant change the person...
