On 21 January, Sankalp Blood Centre witnessed its highest single-camp collection yet, with 345 units donated at Bosch Global Software, Bangalore. The generosity of donors, volunteers, and the BGSW team came at a crucial time, helping address a prolonged New Year blood shortage.
These units will directly benefit children at Sankalp day care centres in Vijayawada and Akola, as well as those in Bone Marrow Transplant wards, where timely transfusions and platelets are critical for treatment. The camp underscored the impact of collective action and solidarity in supporting vulnerable patients.
While celebrating this milestone, the need for blood remains constant. Organisations are urged to host donation camps, and individuals are encouraged to visit Sankalp Blood Centre to donate blood or SDP. Every contribution sustains lifesaving care and gives children the chance they deserve.
