Dear Editor,
It was interesting to go through the Sankalp Patrika and also noted the varoius studies made in the treatment of thalassemia children.
Did read about the mention of the institute.
I am happy to state that I have appointed a doctor to look after all thalassemia children.
If things move the way I want, I have planned to an exclusive twenty bedded thalassemia short stay ward along with rare diseases ward in the II floor of the OPD block.
I wish your foundation could do something to my Alma Mater BMCRI attached Vani Vilas children hospital.
I must admit that we are proud to be associated with you. Advance wishes for the New Year and hope to make great strides for the young thalassemics in 2016.
With warm regards,
Dr Asha Benakappa, Director, Indira Gandhi Institute of Child Health, Bangalore
