NO PERSON HAS EVER ACQUIRED AIDS DURING A BLOOD DONATION AND NO PERSON EVER WILL.
Donate Blood and Safe Life:
Donate regularly in licensed blood banks.
All govt blood banks are licensed.
Receive blood only from a licensed blood bank.
Make sure that the blood is screened for all the diseases transmitted through blood.
Do not accept a blood transfusion unless it is absolutely warranted

Regulate use of blood bags to ensure that these are sold only to the licensed blood banks.
Promote voluntary organizations engaged in voluntary blood donation throughout the year.
Support voluntary organizations engaged in voluntary blood donation programmes
Make it easy for donors to donate blood.
Ensures appropriate and rational use of blood.
Promote autologous transfusion whenever possible.
Do not encourage blood sellers to donate blood.
Motivate patient's relative and friends to donate blood voluntarily.
Encourage voluntary blood donations.
Maintain a panel of regular donors.
Conduct regular blood donation camps.
Ensure adequate storage of blood.
Conduct all mandatory tests properly
Motivate people to donate blood.
Help blood bank in the enrolment of donors
