Whose work is it anyway!

Our Organization has been a WORKING organization right from day one. Ideas are good. Thoughts are great. Knowledge is important. Talent rules. BUT in the end it is work that counts. Acceptable or unacceptable - we have lived by this code. We have pushed ourselves and those who have come with us for more work.

Sometimes the question arises - "Whose work is it anyway?". People begin questioning the sanity behind breaking your head for a problem that involves age old practices, well trained professionals, government policies and many other such things. They ask why should we bother about all of this and who are what makes us believe that we are the people who should be solving this problem. Pause for a moment and think.

Our answer to such question has been simple. It does not come with words. It comes back with work itself. We do what we do because we feel we can do it well - better than those who may have been designated for it. We feel we can do it better than those trained for it and those who have the innate talent for it. We believe that our will to do that work is strong enough to overpower any other limitation and that if we step into doing that work - the results will be phenomenal.

I dont know if it made much sense. But now I come to the point.

This way of thinking has no-one but you yourself who decides what you can do. You decide your limitations, you draw the lines and you lay the rules of the game. You are the master and the slave. If you are a volunteer of Sankalp, you decide how far can you as an individual take things. The Organization has been from the very beginning valuing the will to do things added with blood sweat and tears to realise that will more than any other positive traits. If you are a part of Sankalp Volunteer Team - Your opportunities, your responsibilities - your accountability - all of it is what you choose for yourself!

If you really ask me whose work is it - my answer most definitely will be "It is the work of the person who can do it". You got it in you? You have the will to do it? You have the guts? You will do anything to get it done? IT IS YOURS. Anything else - talent - experience - dreams - all come in picture only after this basic thought is clear and in absolute right place.

Hey young revolutionaries - you will be as much a part of the revolution as you wish to be. You choose!

This is a great opportunity that we have got. "SERVING YOUR COUNTRY IS NOT A SACRIFICE.ITS A PRIVILEGE" and it ought to be treated that way all the time in life.
