Sankalp has been busy all through the month of February. And the mother wing of Sankalp is no different. The number of blood requests in the entire month is 27. It includes 4 out station requests and 2 aphaeresis requests. Though most of them we resolved without donations got done, around 4 of the requests were satisfied by getting donations done.

Handling blood request is not the only activity it is involved in. In order to be prepared to take up blood requests from all over Karnataka effectively, Karnataka Wide Blood Search Network is being taken up rigourously. After the first round of visits to Bangalore, Mangalore, Udupi and Mysore (to read more, click here ), now the visits are continuing to other parts of the state. The emergency team volunteers are getting to understand the local scenario in each of the districts and this information will be very valuable to satisfy emergency requests.
