Measurability is the cornerstone of good care and management. In the year 2017-18 across the 4 day care centres part of the Sankalp Program for Thalassemia Management a total of 900 patients received 13,000 bags of blood. This excludes those who got cured or who got transferred. The average age of patients was 10 years. The good news is that we reached the target hemoglobin level in all centres which are there for at-least a year. Kids were treated within 7 hours and a median of 4.4 days old blood was given. Congratulations to everyone who made this possible.
