With the onset of the new financial year, Sankalp Rakta Kranti Team looked to make a strong start with plenty of blood drives catering to the summer period. On the back of a year with close to 12,000 units collection having gone by, the team wanted to maintain the same momentum. In summary, 1055 units were collected in 13 drives.

For some regular voluntary blood donors, donating blood feels like doing a routine activity. For many of them, this is a responsibility that they duly fulfill. This story is about a blood donor who sets a true example of this unique category of people.

April is a busy month at Sankalp. It is time to review the work done in last year, compile reports, share feedbacks and plan for the time to come. It's the time when the gaps from the past year tend to share the mind space with the resolve to achieve the targets for the year to come.

It's always a challenge to make available adequate quantity of rare blood groups. Whenever there is request for Bombay blood group, our emergency team explores all alternatives to blood transfusion before proceeding to organise for blood donations.
