(a) Colleges: The Blood Awareness Week held at Sapthagiri college led the institution to organizing a fabulous blood donation drive. The camp in Sapthagiri College was held on 20th March. There were two Blood banks and the number of units collected were around 275 units. With this the Team Red in Sapthagiri College becomes the first to taken an organization through teh complete cycle of awareness-education- motivation and then donation.
This week, from 24th March, the Blood Awareness Camp is being held in Maharani Lakshmi Ammani College. The NCC Cadets of the college have taken it upon themselves to educate and motivate the students on blood donation.
(b) Companies: A camp will be held in Alcatel Leucent on Wednesday (26/3/08) at three locations. the camp will be from 3pm to 6pm. Expected number of donations is 60x3 (180 units) and 1 blood bank has been called at each location.
CTC Disha:
CTC Disha continues to propogate the message of "looking for Blood? Dial- 080-1062 to the hospitals in Bangalore.The private hospitals were visited last week, and all the remaining private hospitals that have been chosen for this campaign will be done by this week.
Following that, newspapers and radios will be visited from this week.
