The Govt is right....
When we feel that we are not part of the Government, everything appears as an errata.Think being in the shoes of a PrimeMinister.
Or people in the plane should had voluntarily announced or atleast their relatives should commit to the hanging of the terrorists rather than staging protests against the Govt.,
They(our brethern in the plane) feared for dying atleast once for our country, the land where people declared(before Independence) to die hundred times for the country.
As far as the people dont get attached to the motherland and dont feel India as their mother they can never get courage to sacrifice for the country.
The problem is with us,not with the Govt.,..As we only elected them.
So better blame ourselves.
Well said Kishore
You are absolutely right in saying that things look different when you are not in office. That is correct.
But still, there are two major reasons which provoked my comment.
1. If you had feen following the event you will know that the government pretended to be tough on the issue till few minutes before it actually broke down.
2. You read about Shastri Ji .. I missed a leader like him.
On the public side, let's blame ourslef and not stop there. Elections are coming. people do not vote. Would you like to spend some time to wensure people whose votes are not made can get it made? In case you are genuinely interested, please comment back.. We will get rolling..
Vande Mataram!
Elections
Mr.Rajat u unwhirled a very good point.
How to increase the number of people to vote..not just vote ...but vote to the right person....
The Election commission made it a mandatory to submit the property details and all the criminal recordswhile filing the nomination papers.
How many of the engineers, doctors, columnists, journalists, educated youth ,people who are participating in the debates would really go to the polling booths..the answer is very very less....
Take the Bangalore as an example.
more than 99% of the software engineers who have been settled dont have the vote.
Everyone of us remembers the Fundamental rights of a citizen that should be provided by the Govt.,
But none of us remembers the duties of a citizen...(a 5 marks question in 7th class exams).
If we can make every Indian youth to vote, the questioning power of the public can increase and there shall be some change in the bureaucracy and the public representatives.
It's straight forward
Third option !!
It would be appreciable if a third option named " CAN'T SAY" is added in the following poll.
Point Taken
Sacrifice!!!
The only reason Why i am agnst this is
The terrosrists who were freed masterminded many terrorist acts after that which resulted in killings of more people and causing fear in peoples mind.
We shld set an example by saying to the terrorosts that the citizens of India are ready to sacrifice their life .
Although it is easy to comment but in reality it is very difficult. I gave this reason as soon as i read this post and this is what i feel.
A THE END ALL ARE RIGHT THAT WE SHLD TAKE THE BLAME AND NOT GOVERNMENT
Lalith Parmar
One of the resons why I am ashamed of the Govt of my country is the way they handled the IC-814 hijacking. Not only did they allow theplane to fly off from Amritsar, but also they released three most dangerous mastermind terrorists who have since then written a new era in international terrorism.
On one side you had 200 lives and on the other you had National pride, safety and well being of hundreds (who have since then become victims of the terror these men have inflicted) and a long long battle with a fresh gand of terrorists.
What will you choose?
Poor political will power and extremely immature decisions have put a scar on our pride and our safety that is difficult to hide.
