Siddharth Kak and Renuka Shahane are the two names synonmous with Surabhi. Ofcourse, it was a serial which I would impatiently wait to watch. Well to be hoenst, the impatience was not as much to see the show but to listen to the results of the previous(Two episodes) episode Quiz. I think that was the first time I used a post card and carefully put it in the red letter box staring at the colony gate of my small town.
I still remember, how my heart would beat when the hosts announced the winners name, how I exercised my brain muscles and searched in my GK books to find the answer to the questions they asked, how everyone in the house would wait for REnuka Shahne and Sidhartha Kak to give a clever hint which would leave us arguing on the answer...
Life moves very fast, but it leaves behind many things like Surabhi- the sweet fragrance...
It is heartening to know that you are trying to revive it but I am sure that Surabhi is still within us, its fragrance still surrounds us all.
