What to do with plastic National flags that are no longer required to be used?

Submitted by rajat on

Many times we come across plastic National flags after the celebration of the National Festivals is over. No one is clear about what to do with them. Here are few suggestions.

  1. If they are in good condition, then they can be preserved for future use. This is specially helpful in case of schools where the teachers can collect the flags and keep them safely.

  2. If they are not in good condition, then they can be washed, dried and kept securely in books or other places at home.

  3. Please note that the flag code specifies no method of appropriate disposal of plastic and paper national flags. Read about the Flag conduct of India here.

  4. In case you are unable to handle them, please pass them to Sankalp by calling 9880132850, or sending them by post to #304, Floor 3, Chamundi Emerald, Opp Balmuri Ganesha Temple, 7th Cross, 1st Main, NS Palya, BTM Stage II, Bangalore. Karnataka.

We will clean them and store them safety till a date when our government will tell us what is the best way to dispose them.
