The Bombay Blood Group request - another story to tell
As usual, things were going helter skelter for volunteers of Sankalp when they heard of another patient in need of the ‘golden unit’ - a bombay blood group unit. With already 3 requests for the same running in parallel, finding another unit was as good as searching for a needle in a haystack as big as one can imagine.
Father of medicine- Sushruta
Father of medicine, Sushruta was born near Bihar. In an era when the world didn't know a bit about medicine, Indian sages were masters of ayurveda. Sushrata was the first man to practice surgery, rhinoplasty or nose job, and cataract surgery.

Khooni Hastakshar
Wo khoon kaho kis matlab ka, jisme ubaal ka naam nahi,
Wo khoon kaho kis matlab ka, aa sake Desh ke kaam nahi.
Wo khoon kaho kis matlab ka, jisme jeevan na ravani hai.
Jo parvash hokar behta hai, wo khoon nahi hai paani hai.
Us din logon ne sahi-sahi, khoon ki keemat pehchani thi.
Jis din Subhash ne Burma me, maangi unse qurbani thi.
Bole swatantra ki khatir, balidaan tumhe karna hoga,
Tum bahut jee chuke ho jag me, lekin aage marna hoga.

To My Classmates
So said Dr Kalam
These lines are taken from an address given by Dr APJ Abdul Kalam, India's former President. He uttered these words while interacting with students during the Silver Jubilee Celebration of EMEA College of Arts and Science, Malappuram. This was in February 2008. Nice set of lines, hence posted !
It doesn’t matter who I am,
I will work, work and work,
All the forces of the universe will also assist me,
‘Raghav Radio’
The ride to success of an illiterate youth from Bihar, who launched a radio station and promoted social messages on polio, AIDS and other issues but was arrested for illegally running it, has found place in school textbooks! The story of Raghav and his 'Raghav Radio' has been published by the NCERT in its book 'Bharat Mein Samajik Parivartan Evam Vikas' (Social change and development in India) for Class 12!
The stomach divide
It turns me off to see half of the world learning yoga and aerobics to fight obesity while the other half out there is sleeping hungry. The problem is generally blamed on the governments, but a small yet significant solution lies with us. Each grain consumed or wasted holds a significant value. Stop wasting food!!
Compulsory Attendance- No Sir!
Why do teachers teach the same thing that’s there in text books? A student can anyways study it in a more silent and cozy place than sitting inside a classroom filled with screaming classmates. Knowledge is not the reason students come to class, unfortunately! Alas! Students don’t wake up in the morning and say- “Today I’ll learn Data Structures- I better hurry up for college!” instead they say in worry- “I’ll miss my attendance”. Is attendance the only thing that binds a student to his class? Sadly- Yes!
There is a way

I found something really interesting about this pic. Something intriguing. There surely is a way. Whatever the situation, whatever the condition may be - there is a way.
A life message from my father
While I am with you I would like to share an important message my father Janab Avul Pakir Jainulabdeen gave me a lesson when I was a young boy. What was that lesson? It was just after India got independence. At that time panchayat board elections took place at Rameswaram. My father was elected panchayat board member and on the same day he was also elected the President of Rameswaram Panchayat Board. Rameswaram Island was a beautiful place with 30,000 populations.
