Remembering the Rani: November the 19th

I am born in the land where a tender princess could take up arms againt an empire to save her honour, her people, her country. Yet I see my country being torn apart by the million problems that I witness in silence and putting my upbringing and all the great things life has given me to shame. Lakshmi Bai, the Rani of Jhansi (c.19 November 1835 – 17 June 1858). My tribute to you .. Jhansi Ki Rani.. No flowers, no lamps, no prayers .. but a promise ..  I will not let you down!

Is this not murder?

At a time, when scores of organisations and institutions are trying to make better use of technology for effective blood banking, there comes a shocker of this kind: Thalassemia patients transfused with HIV infected blood in India . Is this not brutal murder of young lives that are already blessed with a misfortune for their entire lifetime?
