It was decided upon tht the blood bank will not ask for replacements coz we had started wit the weekly camps in ramaiah but i came to hear a case from a sankalp volunteer that still units of blood were being asked for from a patient...
As the person contacted sankalp and when the volunteer went back to the blood bank the blood bank immediately said 1 unit replacement will be sufficient instead of 2 said to the patient earlier..
on hearing our name the blood bank starts working correctly...
do these ppl dread on hearing our name????

It is a slow process to shift from totally replacement based blood banking system to voluntary system. Earlier for every unit and for every case this blood bank used to ask for replacement but now as they are slowly adopting the new ideas and ways and they are giving blood for emergency cases and cases where they find patient's side people wont be able to arrange for donors.
They do not deal with cases as we do so they may not be right every time in judging the exact requirement (sometimes even we fail to do so). Also the number of units which are being donated every week is just a fraction of blood units which is being issued from this blood bank. Slowly we need to increase the number of voluntary donors. And we have to give them also time to completely switch to voluntary blood donation system.
And I believe its not our name but its our work seeing which blood bank issue blood even without replacement...So keep working and they will stop asking for exchange.
Brand Name
Its take consistent quality work to make a BRAND NAME. Sankalp over the past 4 year had made that name in Ramaiah Blood Bank.
We should be happy that our work is getting recognize. But just a starting and we need to make same BRAND NAME in Bangalore.
And there is only one way to deliver quality and consistent work.

Atleast they did start working correctly:-) that is a good sign for us..
Its actually not about
Its actually not about getting scared or something on hearing Sankalp. Its about the brand and the perception that peole have. today everyone knows that sankalp is one organization that is selflessly working for the society and also to bring about awareness and revolution in society. they are able to see the power of Sankalp. they know we work for ethics and do everything in the most transparent way. therefore being associated with such a bright organization is actually a matter of pride for them and for all of us indeed.:)
