Life Vs Flying Balloon.

Recently, I came across a beautiful and inspiring speech by Bertrand Piccard, the co-founder of solar impulse. Solar Impulse is a project which hopes to succeed in the first circling of the earth with a piloted fixed wing aircraft  using only solar power.

In his speech on 2009 Ted Event at Oxford, England, Bertrand compares life with flying ballon. He says that while you are out in a ballon flying high above the sky, the wind tries to shift you away from your planned path, the path you have designed for yourself, the right choice. Similarly, in life there are so many situation encirlcling around our life which stray us from our right course, the path towards spirituality. Here, the spirituality is way beyond the religious dogmass, people's choice or politics. Its the call of our soul to do good, for the humanity, for your next generation, for the inner satisfaction of self-achievenmnet. So, What should we do to be on the right track against the unconditional blowing wind ?.  We used our ballast, to get to more altitude, more height, so that we are unaffected by the coming wave. Is it true with life ?. It is, whenever your in uncertinities, in doubt and way more burden with peolple's opninon and struggling to survive, propel yourself, push your innerself, ballast out from the situation up above and to the course your designated to.Soaring high enough, not to get affected by people criticism, politics or reilgious dogma. Into to pure world of one spirtituality, where you see the perfection of your future achievment.

Another abstarct from his speech, The person who guided me, when we where flying in the balloon, through our designated path and help us in achieving the goal that we where intended to with all the real-time data & techinical information was the " Weatherman ". The job of weatherman is to calculate the speed of the wind and its direction at different altitude. And provide them ( the flyer ) with the correct input so that they can flow along the designated path and achieve there goal. Similarliy in life, our freinds, family, teaher, collegue, loved ones are like that " Weatherman ". During the time of need they support and help us to overcome the obstruction. To achieve or realise an idea which people thought of as Impossible, You need to have a team, who not only believe in the idea but in themeselves as well the collegue they are working with. Everyone sometime and somewhere in life must have acted like a weatherman, so that the society as whole can move forward and flourish. One can't do everything by itself, they need guidance just like our weatherman, who helps us in all the way of our journey around the world ( 1st march, 1999 ) and made it a sucess to cherish for.

I have a short story to share, Once during our journey we have achived a height of 1000 feet, when suddenly our weatherman called us and told us to come down and drive with slow speed. But when I did it, I became restless, I found that if we go so slowly than it will take a lifetime to reach our objective and it will consume heavy amount of fuel too. So, I with my collegue open up the ballast and gained few altitude where the wind was flowing at faster speed. When I did it, I called up the weatherman and told him what I did, and completed the convesration by saying " Don't you think I am a good pilot ?". He told, first of all come down and slow your speed and secondly, I don't have any doubt about your pilot ability, but what do you want ?, Do you want to go along the wrong path at a faster pace ? or Want to be in the right path at slower pace ?. You Choose !

I would insist you to listen to the whole speech through this TED link - Click ME - cause it worth to spend 19 minutes out your busy schedule.

About Bertrand piccard, He is a swiss phychritist  and ballonist, who along with Brian Jones, was the first to complete a non-stop balloon flight around the globe in 1st March, 1999.

"I went in search of new ideas blowing in the wind, to try and live better on Earth in my roles as doctor and human being."
