Indian politicians will once again rethink their ideologies and will enter into large scale debates as to who the next President of Indian Republic will be.
The President is the face of the country to the outside world and should be chosen with great care so that the correct person becomes the first citizen of the country.
However the process of appointing the President seems to be in the hands of a few Politicians, who have their own petty issues in mind while choosing the President.
Hence the coming months will unfold the next President, and also display the political games that will be played so that a candidate that suits only a bunch of politicians will occupy Rastrapati Bhawan.
May be national interest is not an important criteria in choosing the President!!!!!!

I think who ever selected for the post should be a inspiration for all people like A.P.J Abdul Kalam.
One name which come to my mind is Narayan Murathi.

As Gagan has rightly pointed out, this post (unlike that of ministers) is not directly controlled by the wish of the masses. It is in the hands of those few people who we call Netas.
The very purpose of this posts looks to be a Rubber Stamp for these people.
The Face of the Country is chosen by wrong people for wrong motives..
I just hope and pray that a person like Dr A P J Kalam who has lived his entire life with dignity and honor does not see himself portrayed as a power/post hungry old man by these crooks. At times I seriously feel that the better place for him would be in his village in Rameshwaram where some small group of people can come and sit by his side learning the basics of life.
Just hope..
Hope is the only thing we can cling on now.. let us just hope that the next President will be as honoured and willing to work as Mr Kalam..
We were the ones who choose the Political leaders through voting and now we will have to face the wrath of our wrong deeds:-) (that is choosing wrong Netas)
