"While the whole world was busy celebrating Christmas, there was a small group of poeple standing at a prominent crossroad in Bangalore with placards reminding people of the anniversary of the Tsunami on the evening of 25th December 2010. Sankalp India Foundation organised the event - ' Remembering the Tsunami' to amrk the 6th anniversary of the worst disaster of our times and at the same time reinforce the pledge to act to provide relief to the disaster victims as soon as possible after the disasters."
30 Nov: 10th ITPL blood donation drive successfully completed with more than 600 donors turning up for registrations and a total of 488 donors donating blood to St Johns Blood bank, Rashtrothana Blood Bank, RL Jalappa Blood Bank and Nimhans Blood Bank. Kudos to the entire team @ ITPL. This event marks a new era in blood donation drives @ ITPL.
Practices and theories developed as a young kid tend to be with us even as we grow older. This is specially true for myths and misconceptions. It becomes a little too hard to overwrite some fear developed early on.
Hundreds of software companies, thousands of people—that’s ITPL for you in numbers. But if you think a little more you get to realize a little more. These numbers also mean a huge base of blood donors. So huge that probably one would think that well planned blood donation drives there can become a tri annual affair. Back in July 2007, Sankalp India Foundation converted this probability into a reality.
Sankalp Inia Foundation got itslef cleaned up :). 2 major internal events could just improve the way in which Sankalp works - a change to get better and to be the best in our area of work.
Although the Blood Donation Organisation including the Emergency Wing, Disha and Rakta Kranti make up the core working wings of Sankalp India Foundation, there are small other teams who do not face the world but provide tons of support to these core working wings. Be it the administration wing, finance wing, resources or public relations these internal teams are ina a way holding the teams tightly bound. These teams too have been busy over the last few days fixing a lot of internal issues.
