As Sankalp embarked upon the journey of building a statewide helpline for blood, the promise was made to visit every district of the state and network the good blood banks to the helpline. When the helpline was formally launched last year, sufficient work had been done to cover more than 80% of the area form where blood requests are generated. The idea was to do the remaining before Sankalp turned 7 on 23 May 2010
Adding impetus to our plans for an extension throughout the state of Karnataka is a donor registration programme being designed by the Emergency Wing volunteers of Sankalp. These volunteers take up blood requests from all corners of Karnataka and at times need to ask people to donate blood to satisfy the request.
"The common dream, the combined effort, the sharp quest for improvement, the systematic project cycles and a sincere effort to get things done for the cause of the nation." Sankalp volunteers would be happy to describe themselves as such. the first ever Sankalp Volunteer's Review was a major step in ensuring that the organisation is true to the above statement.

But for a small group of people, 23rd March, the tuesday held a special meaning. In the evening when people were going on with their usual evening walk in Sankey tank, they saw this group of people working silently setting up a gallery of Revolutionaries.
