Rakta Kranti - drives in March

Rakta Kranti Karnataka - Camps in Raichur

Last week, we had two camps in Raichur; One on 18th in "Govt Polytechnic college" and another on 19th in "LVD College". We had visited Raichur in February as a part of our "Rakta Kranti Karnataka" Program expansion and a team red training was done in LVD college, where 5 colleges participated in training program.

The above 2 colleges were the first one to go for conducting drives and thus the drives were scheduled in 3rd week of March.

The wait is finally over !

There were issues whenever we added features in the site. The sites began to consume high amount of memory and CPU resources. It was becoming increasingly difficult to incorporate changes with such constraining resources in the shared hosting environment where Sankalp websites were placed.

February 2010: Sankalp marches on in style

Emergency Wing

This month indicates the rising trend of number of blood requests as the summer approaches. In the three weeks of February, there were about 25 blood requests, which included 3 requests inside Karnataka, 1 request for Single Donor Platelet donation and 2 outside Karnataka. Internal structuring of donor databases has started to maintain a single updated database of all the registered donors with Sankalp. Along with the existing database, an updated database from MSRIT Boys Hostel will be maintained for the same.

Technical Team's nightmare

11th February 2010 will go down in the history of Sankalp Tech Team in bold letters. We are not particularly proud of this date. Yet, the series of events that unfolded on the evening of this date have ensured that the organisation takes a whole new approaching into handling its technical requirements. Sankalp Tech will never be the same.
