Blood Donation Drives in November - December 2024

In an impressive display of community engagement and generosity, a total of 57 blood donation camps were organized across various organizations in November-December 2024. These efforts resulted in the collection of 2,610 units of blood , supported by 2,930 willing donors.

The campaigns, which spanned across major corporations, educational institutions, and community groups. 

Key Highlights from the Blood Donation Campaigns:

  1. Inaugural Blood Donation Camps: A total of ten first-time blood donation camps were successfully organized, including initiatives at two local schools, marking a significant expansion in community outreach efforts and spreading awareness about the life-saving importance of donating blood.

  2. Record Participation at Collins Aerospace: A targeted awareness campaign at Collins Aerospace led to unprecedented participation, setting a new record for the highest-ever turnout at a single SBC blood donation camp, demonstrating the company’s commitment to supporting national blood supply needs.

  3. Crucial Blood Collection in November: The blood collected during the month of November played a pivotal role in meeting the urgent national demand, with 1,706 units of blood dispatched to 17 centers in just two months, including to Sankalp's day care centers that provide continuous support to vulnerable patients.

  4. Fyres Securities Pvt Ltd's Inaugural Blood Donation Camp: Fyres Securities Pvt Ltd hosted its first-ever voluntary blood donation camp, with an exceptional 20% employee participation, demonstrating the company's active role in corporate social responsibility initiatives.

  5. Nexus Malls’ Year-End Blood Donation Campaign: The blood donation campaigns organized by Nexus Malls in the last week of December proved to be crucial in addressing the severe blood shortage caused by the festive season, helping to meet the spike in demand during Christmas and the Year-End celebrations.

Notable organizations involved in these campaigns included CGI, Sansera, Radhakrishna Public School, Vaishnavi Serene, Youth For Parivartan, Trelleborg, Collins Aerospace, DSR White Waters, Burns and McDowell’s, Ecolab, Flipkart, National Instruments, Microplastics, Karnataka Agarwal Samaj, Alpine Pyramid, Amadeus, ACS College of Engineering, Deutsche Bank Group, Avery Dennison, Suprajit, Future Generali, Kavach Trust,Voya India, Mahindra Finance, Tata Communications Limited, HDFC Bank, Saab Engineering, Sonestaa Meadows, Sushruta, Infosys Ltd, Jawahar Lal Nehru Centre for Advanced Scientific Research, Fyers Security, Tata Technologies, Euro School, Nexus Malls, SAP Apparels, Karnataka Rakshana Vedike and RT Nagar Bengali Association.

These campaigns have proven instrumental in alleviating blood shortages, ensuring timely support to hospitals, and saving countless lives across the nation.
