In the last quarter of 2024, thalassemia prevention coordinators from across India took part in a series of valuable training sessions. In Maharashtra, the focus was on building confidence, with role-playing exercises that helped coordinators improve their counseling skills. In Madhya Pradesh, coordinators worked together to align their goals and gained a clearer understanding of thalassemia prevention, enhanced by a visit to the BMT unit.

In November 2024, the two-day Annual Training program for Thalassemia management teams took place in Bangalore and Ahmedabad, with 21 day-care centers participating. The program aimed to strengthen healthcare teams' skills to ensure every patient receives optimal care and can lead a normal life.

Jasper, diagnosed with Sickle Cell Disease at age 1, faced regular blood transfusions and frequent hospitalizations due to severe pain crises.

In an impressive display of community engagement and generosity, a total of 57 blood donation camps were organized across various organizations in November-December 2024. These efforts resulted in the collection of 2,610 units of blood , supported by 2,930 willing donors.

The campaigns, which spanned across major corporations, educational institutions, and community groups.

The celebration of national festivals used to be one of the most anticipated events at Sankalp. As the organisation took on more responsibility and spread across geographies, we stopped coming together to celebrate our national festivals.
