Gearing up for Summers 2010
With the summers around the corner, Sankalp has kicked started the process of putting 4 major events in place. This means a lot of action, a lot of interaction and a lot of progress. Outlined are the four activities below:
Annual Review
This programme is an attempt to review the last year and draw the wireframe for the coming year. This will be a programme for Sankalp Volunteers essentially though Sankalp friends and well wishers are invited to join in. Each workgroup of Sankalp will carefully review their activities, finding the weak links and bugs. Successively they will decide on the plans to address the problems and propose it to all volunteers. A comprehensive review would follow. The programme will take place in the second fortnight of April.
Sankalp Anniversary
The annual anniversary programme will be organised on 22nd May 2010. This time the programme is packed with more compact reports, some really special guests, a whole lot of activity that is a surprise as of now.
World Blood Donor Day Programme
The WBDD Celebration for 2010 will take place at MSR Memorial Hospital on 14th June, 2010. Regular Voluntary Blood Donors will be facilitated and the occasion will be a celebration of the spirit of Voluntary Blood Donation.
Workshop on Voluntary Blood Donation
This is a highlight. NIMHANS, ISBTI Karnataka Chapter and Sankalp are organising a Workshop on Blood Components at NIMHANS Convention Centre on 18/19th June, 2010. The workshop will serve the purpose of encouraging high quality learning between the blood banking community.
So, what this means is that all of us need to gear up and plan. Action awaits us just around the corner.
