It's been close to 4 years now from the time Sankalp India Foundation started organising blood donation drives. Ever since, the most important aspect that has been always the trademark of any Sankalp blood donation drive is the quality factor. Right from the event publicity to the complete handling of the blood donation drive Sankalp has been striving to get better and improve processes and thereby improve quality.
Donor safety and counselling, effective publicity through posters, mails and brochures, pushing blood banks to adopt stringent sanitary and precautionary measures, adherence to policies and guidelines as laid down by NACO, pre- and post donation counseling of donors, effective and well documented communication with stakeholders, strong feedback mechanisms to and for the stake holders are all an integral part of a Sankalp blood donation drive. But we are not the ones who are boasting too mush about it, here is what some donors say.
These regular camps are really good. Appreciate all the extra efforts by individuals to make this happen. It feels so good to donate and what more can one ask that the opportunity comes near you. Thanks and keep the good work.
— Sunitha (After donating in the Tenth Sankalp blood donation drive @ IPL, Bangalore)
I have donated more than 10 times but this camp seemed to be the most organised and efficient. Thank you, much appreciate your efforts
— Sabyasachi Nayak (Lucent Technologies)
This is my first time donating blood. Hospitality is really nice and we appreciate it. We would like to emphasize to organize the same for once in 3 months
— Shyam Babu (ARM)
First time experience. Feels good. The doctors/personals were good. Took away all my concerns, everything went smoothly and thanks for letting me started with this initiative.
— Rakesh Agarwal (NI)
Clearly, it shows the results of hard efforts put in by all the volunteers to go that extra mile and ensure a top quality blood donation drive. Frequent trainings, discussions are held to improve and fine tune processes further. The only way to keep motivating people to become regular voluntary blood donors is to make them aware of the beauty of blood donation is the almost ideal way. Slowly, but surely the Sankalp Blood donation drive norms are creating ripples :)
