Jalaram Day Care Centre Blood Donation Drive

Jalaram Day Care Centre in Ahmedabad successfully organised a blood donation camp with the active support of parents and caregivers, resulting in the collection of 178 units of blood. In a powerful reflection of shared responsibility, five patients themselves stepped forward as volunteers to help organise the drive, reinforcing the deep sense of ownership and resilience within the community. 

The initiative went beyond numbers, demonstrating how collective action, empathy, and lived experience can come together to strengthen blood availability and directly support the continuity of lifesaving care for children with thalassemia.
