my first action movie.....

it waz a normal monday noon..weni waz jus done with my internals and after a heavy lunch waz havin a surf on www.suddenly my cell vibrated and yes i d got a blood donation case...the prob wz tat the patient waz from a rural background and kannada wz he s only communicative lang...i hurried over there with my fren volunteer amit..and wen v interevened the case seemed to be quite simple..as the patient needed to meke jus on donation 4rom their side..but the prob wz tat none of the patient srelatives wre ready to donate..perhaps later at nite thier feelin changed

CTC Disha Report

It started on 23rd May, 2005 when few Sankalp Volunteers dreamt of how to better the present blood donation scenario. Few questions arose: If somehow the blood banks were transparent enough to show their blood statistics. How nice it would be if we had a single number which would cater to all blood requirements in Bangalore.

People from around the globe travel to super-speciality hospitals like NIMHANS, Narayan Hrudayalaya, Manipal Hospitals, Sagar Apollo, M S Ramaiah Memorial Hospitals and many for for treatment. The City poses a huge blood requirement.

Current Status

Then number of colleges that are willing to participate in the drive is increasing steadily. MSRIT will be back to work by 2nd week of August. Till them management College, HM College, Law College and Medical College should bear the baton. The Degree Diploma and other colleges are assumed to be on vacation for now.

Walk for Life

42 Kms, 15 Hrs, 40 Students.. One Message "Need Blood Call 1062" Walk for Life was an awareness drive conducted by the Sankalp Volunteers to bring to the citizens of Bangalore "CTC Disha" the single point access Blood Helpline!" Somewhere in Mid October we realized that inspite of the great media coverage, there was very poor response to CTC Disha. Very few calls were coming and many people were still searching for blood.
