Career

Patel had two ambitions- pleader and a barrister like his elder brother Vithalbhai. In 1900 he passed the pleaders exam and started practicing in Godhra. In 1902, he shifted to Balsad, a taluka headquarter, where he practiced as a criminal lawyer for 8 years.

Eye Donation Awareness Programme at Applied Materials There are about 1.5 million people who today are unnecessarily blind. The only way their vision can be restored is by corneal transplant. But eye banks across the country are facing acute shortage of eyes. Much of this is due to lack of awareness among the people hence the day we celebrate our freedom, we thought to promise freedom to these people from darkness. We are at a momentous stage in the history of India. By common endeavour, we can raise the country to a new greatness, while lack of unity will expose us to fresh calamities. I hope the Indian States will bear in mind that the alternative to cooperation in the general interest is anarchy and chaos, which will overwhelm great and small in a common ruin if we are unable to act together in the minimum of common tasks.
