How does God Look Like?

Submitted by amitsedai on

Interesting question. Some say God is formless , some say that Good looks like us. There are some who say that everyone is God and everyone has goodness within. There is a concept of atman(similar to concept of soul) which is formless, which is all perfect, which cannot be destroyed, killed etc.

I Shall Live

Why can't I live as if I am going to die tomorrow? I am starting to get troubled by this line ever since I heard it from Steve Jobs, Co-founder Apple Inc

How strong this feeling has started to become, I have no idea, but it seems to hurt now and then. Having dreamt of living life to the fullest... my heart just keeps wondering.

A well-known speaker started off his seminar by holding up a Rupee 500 note. In the room of 200,he asked, "Who would like this Rupee 500 note?"

Hands started going up.

He said, "I am going to give this note to one of you but first let me do this." He proceeded to crumple the note up.

He then asked, "Who still wants it?"

Still the hands were up in the air.

New course for Education

The new HRD minister Kapil Sibal has proposed to have 1 national board and no class 10 exam. Well, I don't know about the idea of scraping the class 10 exam but the idea of having one national board is definitely a change I dreamed of in our educational system.

"Once upon a time in a village, there lived a father and his eight sons. They worked in their field from early morning till late evening, very hard and lived happily in prosperity. But the father was very sad about a particular habit of his children, they perpetually quarrelled among themselves always; even for silliest causes.

I hardly paid any attention to butterflies till I read the book " Family Wisdom" by Robin Sharma .In this beautiful book , the protagonist Julian Mantle and his sister Catherine receive a golden butterfly as a gift from their father. This is the trigger for me to notice colorful butterflies around me.This noticing gradually changed to admiration and now to joy.A sight of a butterfly makes me so happy and eventually makes my day beautiful. The most beautiful thing about butterfly is the way it flies.

There is a story that one day Shah Jahan wanted to know how the Taj Mahal was progressing. To find out he disguised himself as an old man and he went to the site by the Yamuna river. There he came across a stonecutter, whom he asked "What are you doing?" The stone cutter was annoyed by the disturbance and said, "Go away old man, don't you see that I'm busy?" The stonecutter's dedication impressed Shah Jahan.

Sankalp as an organization has been growing at a steady rate. We now have dedicated set of volunteers who are probably the best people to do the work they do, with less number of people to replace them and do the same quality of work. So, as of now, all of us are working in our respective wings, in turn actually working towards a common goal, eliminating blood shortage problem.

I Protest

Just read about the controversy about RGV's new firm "Rann". Inquisitively I clicked youtube to checkout the promos. And to my horror I found this ghastly director has dared to play around with the lyrics of the National Anthem. Listening to the initial beats I stated getting up from my chair but within a second I realised that this movie has crossed all limits and seems to be exploiting the freedom of speech and expression in the worst kind of way.

The water and the thirst

In my small hometown of Mussoorie summers were short and warm. Being a very cold town indeed people are not used to drinking a lot of water. I am sharing with you the memory of the Humble Matki. It came back to me today for a reason that I have shared below.
