Feelings

Gan Geet

Rashtra bhakta ke hruday main
Ho khada yadi desh saara
Sankaton par maat kar yeh
Rashtra vijayee ho humaara

Kya kabhee kisine sunaa hai
Surya chhipta timir bhaya se
Kya kabhee sarita ruki hai
Baandh se ban parbaton se

Jo na rukte maarg chalate
Chir kar sab sankaton ko
Varan karti keerti unka
Chhod kar sab asur dal ko

Dhyay mandr ke pathik ko
Kantako ka hee sahara
Sankato par maat kar yah
Rashtra vijayee ho hamara

Blowing the Storms Away

News can at times tear your head apart. I got news - some news. And it did a wonderful harmonal/enzymatic/neural reaction in my body. I have not been able to sleep well. The news hounds me all the time. I am hearing about it at the back of my head. I am feeling my fingers experience what must have happened when hat news was being made. I don't know whether to be angry or to feel sorry or to pray. I am helpless. Just that the news has come to me and I am only trying to come to terms with it.

Me and my garden

Submitted by pravachak on

I once maintained a garden. When I started with it, I knew nothing about the flowers, the plants and the trees. All i knew is that it is me who should be maintaining that garden. I used to spend some time each day taking care of my garden. The smallest of things were looked into. Whetever was not just right was treated immediately. I learnt then. I learnt a lot. I got to know a lot about plants and how to keep them. My garden was always green and fresh. It was blooming and bright. My sweat and my blood was nurturning it.

Lessons to learn from Bihar

Submitted by souravroy on

There is no doubt on the fact that Bihar is moving forward. The promise and expectation of good governance has aroused the native entrepreneurial instinct. Although Nitish Kumar's government has a long way to go, it has shown positive signs. The signs of awakening in Bihar should ideally, ripple developmental activities in the rest of eastern India, particularly in West Bengal and Jharkhand.

Something so close to the heart

She's been there with me when I have been lonely. On the long dark nights when I could not sleep. She was there when I felt bent and broken. She was there to sooth me, comfort me, caress me and give me peace. She has been there when I face challanges. She shows me the way. she gives me the strength to walk the right road, to take the challange, head on.. She's been there to tell me tales - of the beauty of my nation and it's people.

Miles to go before we sleep

Whose woods these are I think I know.
His house is in the village, though;
He will not see me stopping here
To watch his woods fill up with snow.

My little horse must think it queer
To stop without a farmhouse near
Between the woods and frozen lake
The darkest evening of the year.
