Why I Am An Atheist ?....By Bhagat Singh

Submitted by Jayesh on

A new question has cropped up. Is it due to vanity that I do not believe in the existence of an omnipotent, omnipresent and omniscient God? I had never imagined that I would ever have to confront such a question. But conversation with some friends has given me, a hint that certain of my friends, if I am not claiming too much in thinking them to be so-are inclined to conclude from the brief contact they have had with me, that it was too much on my part to deny the existence of God and that there was a certain amount of vanity that actuated my disbelief.

THE WORST HIJACKING: We shall never know the identity of the man who in 1976 made the most unsuccessful hijack attempt ever. On a flight across America, he rose from his seat, drew gun and took the stewardess hostage. "Take me to Detroit," he demanded. "We're already going to Detroit," she replied. "Oh ... good," he said, and sat down again. THE WORST BANK ROBBERY: In August 1975 three men were on their way in to rob the Royal Bank of Scotland at Rothesay, when they got stuck in the revolving doors.

A Cute Story

This is the story of Robby. He was a young boy who lived with his elderly mother. His mother wanted him to learn how to play the piano because she longed to hear her son play for her. She sent her son to a piano teacher who took Robby in under her guidance. However, there was one small problem because Robby was not musically inclined and therefore was very slow in learning. The teacher did not have much faith in the boy because of his weakness. The mother was very enthusiastic and every week she would send Robby to the teacher. One day Robby stopped attending the piano lessons.

A Session on Fire

A highly interactive session on mitigation during fire tragedies was organized by Sankalp. This kind of event had been organized previously during DMMG meetings for volunteers but this was a first attempt in which we tried to reach public. It was a nice experience to recollect the things learnt in the past. The crowd turn up was not very much encouraging but Sankalp has never expected crowd just for the sake of getting crowd. There might have been few people who were interested but couldn't make up due to time constraints.

Be thankful when you don't know something, for it gives you the oppurtunity to learn. Be thankful for the difficult times, during those times you grow. Be thankful for your limitations, because they give you oppurtunities for improvement. Be thankful for each new challenge, because it will build your strength and character. Be thankful for your mistakes, they will teach you valuable lessons. It's easy to be thankful for the good things. Alife of rich fulfilment comes to those who

In a poor zoo of India, a lion was frustrated as he was offered not more than 1 kg meat a day. The lion thought its prayers were answered when one US Zoo Manager visited the zoo and requested the zoo management to shift the lion to the US Zoo. The lion was so happy and started thinking of a central A/c environment, a goat or two every day and a US Green Card also. On its first day after arrival, the lion was offered a big bag, sealed very nicely for breakfast. The lion opened it quickly but was shocked to see that it contained few bananas.
