Dear Friends,

Please go through this carefully and i think every one of us must try to make use of it when ever possible.

Government of India has an online Grievance forum at http://darpg-grievance.nic.in/

The government wants people to use this tool to highlight the problems they faced while dealing with Government officials or departments like Passport Office, Electricity board, BSNL/MTNL, Railways etc etc.

The Man Who Sold Very Good Hot Dogs

There was once a man who lived by the side of the road and sold hot dogs. He was hard of hearing so he had no radio - he had trouble with his eyes, so he read no newspapers and of course he didn't look at television. But he sold very good hot dogs. He put up signs on the highway telling everyone how good they were, he stood on the side of the road and cried out to all that past 'buy a hot dog, they are the best in town'.

Who Owns the Backyard?

Vicki Huffman, in Plus Living (Harold Shaw Publishers,1989), tells about a man who loved to hunt and bought two pedigreed setters that he trained to be fine bird dogs. He kept them in a large, fenced pen in his backyard.

One morning he observed a little bulldog trotting down the alley behind his home. It saw the two dogs and squeezed under the fence. The man thought he should perhaps lock up the setters so they wouldn't hurt the little dog, but changed his mind. Maybe they would 'teach that bulldog a lesson,' he reasoned.

Giving Up Too Soon

A man met a guru in the road. The man asked the guru - 'Which way should I go to achieve success?'The robed, bearded sage said nothing, but he pointed to a place in the distance. The man, thrilled by the prospect of quick and easy success, rushed in the appropriate direction. Suddenly, there came a loud 'Splat.'

Each Day Is A Gift

A 92-year-old delicate but well-poised and proud man, who is fully dressed each morning by eight o'clock, with his hair fashionably coifed and his face shaved perfectly, even though he is legally blind, moved to a nursing home today.

His wife of 70 years recently passed away, making the move necessary.

Isn't It Strange???

Isn't it strange how Rs. 20/= seems like such a large amount when you donate it to temple, but such a small amount when you go shopping?

Isn't it strange how 2 hours seem so long when you're at place of worship, and how short they seem when you're watching a good movie?

Isn't it strange that you can't find a word to say when you're praying, but you have no trouble thinking what to talk about with a friend?

Isn't it strange how difficult and boring it is to read one chapter of the Bible/ Quran / Gita, but how easy it is to read 100 pages of a popular novel?

Power of Attitude!

One of the most wonderful things about having a positive attitude is the number of people it touches, many times in ways you’ll never know.

Recently, I stopped by a convenience store to get a newspaper and a pack of gum. The young woman at the check-out counter said, “That’ll be five dollars please,” and as I reached into my wallet, the thought occurred to me that a newspaper and gum didn’t quite make it to five dollars.

Often you come across some forwarded mails sharing some brilliantly written piece of intelligence that leaves you dumbstruck. The mail is sooo exciting and overwhelming, that sometimes you press the forward button and send it to a couple of your friends expecting them too to stare at the screen. One such mail - ripped apart - is here.
